We are looking for a Senior Residential Child Care Worker to join a residential children's home situated in the New Forest, supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential. This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Southampton, Totton, Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst, Lymington, New Milton, Ringwood, Christchurch, Bournemouth, Fordingbridge, Salisbury, Romsey, Hythe, Hythe and the Waterside, and surrounding areas. You will work closely with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager to maintain and develop high standards of care, promoting a nurturing, safe and aspirational environment for the children. We do not hold licences to support overseas candidates., A minimum of 12 months' experience working with children and young people A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People or equivalent Willingness to work towards a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management A full, clean driving licence Experience working within residential childcare is desirable Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children Understanding of challenging behaviour and appropriate methods of control Ability to build positive relationships with children while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
