Join a specialist care team supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex care needs, PBS and mental health needs in Milton Keynes and Bedford.

Significant experience supporting individuals with behaviours that challenge, including 3:1-5:1 or similar high-acuity packages

Experience supporting, guiding or informally supervising other care workers

Strong de-escalation skills and experience of physical intervention in a care setting

Experience working with PBS plans, risk assessments and complex care plans

Knowledge of safeguarding, DoLS and least restrictive practice

DMI (Dynamis) training is highly desirable; PMVA or equivalent may be accepted

A DBS check, or willingness to obtain one

Unrestricted right to work in the UK

This permanent, full-time PAYE position offers 36-48 hours per week at £15.00 per hour, with an annual salary of £28,080-£37,440.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will provide hands-on support while helping to lead the staff team during shifts within high-support 3:1, 4:1 and 5:1 packages. You will guide Support Workers, lead calmly during incidents, and make sure care plans, PBS strategies and risk assessments are followed consistently. The role needs a confident, calm approach and a commitment to dignity, independence and least restrictive practice.
