Full Job Description

  • Supporting 2 to 1 and 1 to 1.
  • Providing proactive, positive, and caring support.
  • Enabling people to learn new skills towards living more independently.
  • Assisting and providing individuals with support for their emotional and practical needs.
  • Personal care.
  • Working effectively as part of a team.
  • Taking part in the chosen activities of the people we support, both within the service and out in the community.
  • Working varied shifts around the needs of the people we support (no nights required). Will be required to work weekends and bank holidays.

    The successful candidate will have the aptitude, desire, and commitment to work in social care with adults with a variety of needs.
  • Flexible with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Motivated and a team player.
  • Previous experience in the social care sector supporting individuals with learning disabilities is essential.
  • Level 2 diploma in health and social care is desirable but not essential.
  • Drivers preferred.

    We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Support Worker. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role. Our residential service is set in a beautiful period house on the edge of the Clifton Downs, Bristol. Here at Hyde Lodge, we support 8 younger, active adults with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders.
