Full Job Description

  • Support people with learning disabilities and mental health needs
  • Build trusting relationships through patience and consistency
  • Follow individual Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans to
  • understand triggers, recognise needs and promote positive outcomes
  • Respond calmly and consistently when people experience distress
  • Support personal care, daily routines and independent living skills
  • Encourage community involvement, hobbies and personal goals
  • Help people feel safe, heard, respected and valued
    • This role includes lone working, so you'll need to work confidently and independently, follow support plans and procedures, and know when to seek guidance.

  • Caring, patient and resilient
  • Calm and confident when situations become challenging
  • Interested in mental health, learning disabilities and complex behaviours
  • Willing to learn and consistently follow PBS plans
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
    • Previous care or PBS experience is required , but a genuine desire to learn and make a difference matters too.
