Support Worker

As a Senior Support Worker, you'll support the Team Leader with the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring every resident receives compassionate, personalised care that promotes dignity, independence and choice. A key responsibility of this role is the safe administration and management of medication, ensuring best practice and compliance with all policies and procedures.,

• Deliver outstanding person-centred care tailored to each resident's individual needs, preferences and life history.
• Promote best practice in dementia care, ensuring residents are treated with dignity, compassion and respect at all times.
• Administer and manage medication safely and accurately in line with regulatory requirements.
• Observe, monitor and respond to changes in residents' physical, emotional and cognitive wellbeing.
• Develop positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
• Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and accurate record keeping.
• Act as a positive role model, promoting Shaw Healthcare's values and delivering excellent standards of care.
  
  We're looking for an experienced, compassionate and motivated, You will need to have:
• Previous experience working within a residential elderly care setting.
• Experience supporting people living with dementia.
• Confidence in administering medication and maintaining accurate records.
• A QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or be working towards it)
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to lead by example.
• The ability to remain calm, professional and supportive in challenging situations.
