Full Job Description
The support worker will follow plans of care and risk assessments to ensure that the care is safe, effective, caring and responsive to the individual's needs. There will be opportunities to influence and improve the individuals life through care planning and activity planning whilst working with the Registered Manager and the families. The support worker is expected to be flexible and responsive to the needs and demands of the service.,
- Engaging the clients with appropriate person centred activities Assisting with all aspects of Daily Living
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of the individuals with epilepsy, autism complex health needs
- Building positive relationship with the individuals and their families
- Supporting Care planning and risk management strategies
At least 1 year experience of working with people with learning disabilities - Effective Team working skills
- Good Communication Skills
- Experience of working in a stressful care and support environment would be beneficial
- Flexible working will be required and the successful applicant would be expected to work evenings and weekends
