Support Worker

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will work alongside people to help them build confidence, develop independence and achieve the goals that matter most to them. This is not a personal care role. Instead, you will focus on supporting people to live fulfilling lives, maintain their wellbeing, develop practical life skills and access opportunities within their local community.

This is a vibrant 24-hour service supporting adults with mental health challenges.

Every day is different, but you may be supporting people to:

Build confidence and maintain their independence

Develop daily living and tenancy skills

Plan and achieve personal goals

Access education, volunteering or employment opportunities

Attend appointments and engage with health professionals

Take part in social activities, hobbies and community events

Manage household responsibilities such as budgeting, shopping and meal planning

Maintain positive routines and wellbeing strategies

Build and maintain relationships with friends, family and their local community

Develop skills that help them live the life they choose

You will also work closely with colleagues and external professionals to ensure people receive consistent, person-centred support that promotes recovery, independence and wellbeing.
