Package Description

Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £13.45 - £14.15

Driving Requirement: A Full UK Driving Licence is required

We're looking for a resilient and compassionate Support Worker to join our children's residential home supporting young people with complex additional needs.

The home currently supports two young people who are non-verbal and require highly individualised care. Both can display behaviours of concern linked to anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and difficulties communicating their needs. All support is provided on a 2:1 staffing ratio.

We are particularly keen to hear from male applicants to strengthen the existing team supporting a 15-year-old young man with Autism, ADHD, Severe Learning Disabilities, and bilateral deafness. Building trust with him takes time, patience, and consistency, but when he feels safe and supported, he is a happy young person who enjoys engaging with those around him.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in Learning Disabilities, SEMH, Autism, or residential care (preferred)
  • Is calm, patient, and resilient
  • Understands that behaviour is a form of communication
  • Can build positive relationships over time
  • Is passionate about making a difference in young people's lives

What we offer:

  • Full training provided
  • Ongoing support from an experienced team
  • Career development opportunities
  • A rewarding role where you can genuinely change lives

Apply now and help create positive outcomes for young people with complex needs.

We are proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community. We are also committed to supporting the Armed Forces community through our Armed Forces Covenant.

Eligible candidates from military backgrounds are guaranteed an interview - please include details of your service on your CV.
