Support Worker

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our friendly and dedicated team in Tilehurst, Reading. This residential service supports adults with a range of complex needs, and we're seeking someone who is committed to making a positive difference every day. As a Senior Support Worker, you'll play a key role in supporting people to live fulfilling and independent lives, while also assisting the Service Manager with the day-to-day running of the service. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting the staff team during shifts
• Assisting with rota planning and shift allocation
• Supporting the induction and development of new team members
• Conducting supervisions and providing guidance to colleagues
• Managing and ordering medication
• Supporting service users with financial management where required
• Promoting person-centred care and positive outcomes
• Providing hands-on support and leading by example
  
  Previous experience working as a Senior Support Worker
• Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including:
+ Behaviours of distress + Mental health conditions + Autism + Acquired brain injury (ABI) + Trauma-informed support + Forensic backgrounds You will be compassionate, resilient, patient, and passionate about helping others achieve their goals and maximise their independence.
