Support Worker

This isn't a boring job you'll be changing lives with care, supporting day-to-day living and joining in with activities like bowling, swimming, walks, and community outings.

You don't need prior experience to join as a Support Worker.

We provide all the training you'll need, along with ongoing support to help you build a career in care.

This role is for anyone who wants to make a real difference, whatever your age, background, or gender (unless the role is gender specific)

You don't need to have worked in care before if you're kind, patient, and willing to learn, we'll support you every step of the way.

It could suit someone who's helped others in customer service, childcare, hospitality, teaching, or volunteering, or someone simply looking for a more meaningful job.

If you're the type of person who enjoys listening, lending a hand, and helping others live life to the fullest, you'll fit right in here.

Our world is built on doing good, being the best place to work, and always putting people first., Keepers Cottage is a welcoming residential home supporting eight adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities in a beautiful rural setting just outside Ledbury.

Surrounded by countryside, it's a calm and friendly environment where every day is centred around helping people live fulfilling, independent lives.

As a Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred support with everyday living, helping people with personal care, preparing meals, developing life skills and encouraging independence.

You'll also spend time building genuine relationships and supporting people to enjoy meaningful lives both at home and in their local community.

You'll have the opportunity to support people to enjoy a wide range of interests and hobbies, including martial arts, horse riding, sailing and karaoke, as well as many other activities that are tailored to each person's interests and goals.

Every year, the people we support enjoy holidays together at seaside holiday parks, making lasting memories and enjoying new adventures with the support of our team.

£12.71 Per Hour, Two service vehicles are available during shifts to support outings and activities with the people we support.

Shifts are worked between 7:00AM AND 10:00PM, with a typical shift lasting 7.5 HOURS. Longer shifts can be considered if preferable.

The service requires regular afternoon and evening working, so you'll need to be able to work these shifts as part of a varied rota.

You'll also be expected to work TWO WEEKENDS IN EVERY FOUR.

A rota is issued a month in advance for the following month so you know well in advance when you are working and when you are off.
