About The Role


Real Life Options provides support to people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. We offer individualised support packages and promote independence to enable people to live a happy fulfilled life within their own homes. The accommodation is made of individual apartments and purpose-built bungalows. The service includes 12 apartments for people with mild learning disabilities, 4 bungalows for individuals with higher complex needs, and 4 bungalows for people who display behaviours of concern.


You will be supporting individuals in their own homes to live as independently as possible, which involves:



  • following daily planners

  • helping with financial expenditure

  • domestic support and administration of medication


There may also be some support with:



  • personal care

  • meal planning/preparation

  • maintaining important relationships

  • support to find new friendships


A rewarding part of the role will be encouraging participation in activities in the local community to enhance social inclusion. You will also be seeking new opportunities for the growth and development of the people we support, which could include volunteering roles and further education access.


Shift Patterns


Hours are between 7am to 10pm. Working on a rota, you will be required to work weekends, evenings, bank holidays with planned time off. Flexibility to cover any of these shift patterns over the 7-day weekly period is essential.


Requirements


An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
