& part-time available Every other weekend Rota shifts Working towards Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Child Care £27,766.15 (FTE) Per annum (Pro rata) What you'll be doing: The post holder has a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times. All staff are expected to act in accordance with safeguarding legislation, organisational policies, and statutory guidance. We believe safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. We expect all staff to be vigilant, proactive, and committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel protected, listened to, and respected. Build relationships with children and young people Establish methods of communication with children and young people, reducing barriers when necessary Assist children and young people with mealtimes where necessary Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed Communicate any issues to the on-shift team leader or management Accurately
report and/or record work activities What you'll have: A genuine interest in providing the best person-centred care possible for our young people NVQ 3 or equivalent in Childcare, or be willing to work towards this Previous experience of working within a children's home or within the child care sector, Autism/ LD is desirable Should have lived in the UK for 3 years The ability to communicate effectively at all levels We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
