Homes2Inspire are looking for a Senior Support Worker to be part of the Management team for Attenborough House - a 2 bedroom property situated in Nottinghamshire area, a short walk from Attenborough Nature reserve. The successful candidate will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to think on their feet.
Attenborough House opened in May 2022, registered to provide care for looked after children with Emotional, Behavioural Difficulties aged between 12yrs - 18yrs of mixed gender.
Attenborough House has a small, friendly and welcoming staff team. As a home we encourage and promote independence and confidence in our young people through a loving, and nurturing environment. The staff team take on the role of therapeutic parenting to ensure the needs of the children and young people are met.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will support the management team with directing roles and responsibilities to support workers and ensuring the monitoring of children and young people's behaviour, safety, and well-being.
Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships with others are vital! As a shift leader, the right candidate will be someone who leads by example, upholds standards, and ensures that the safeguarding of children and young people underpins all decisions made.
+ Minimum 1 years' experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
+ QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (In line with Ofsted requirements)
+ Commitment to working a shift pattern including sleep in duties + overtime
+ Full UK driving licence
