LOOKING FOR A REWARDING ROLE WHERE YOU CAN TRULY MAKE A DIFFERENCE? Join our team as a Support Worker at our Supported Living Scheme in Sheerness. In this role, you'll support adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges to live more independently. You'll work as part of a dedicated team, providing 24-hour support across three services. No two days are the same, and every day truly matters. Support is at the heart of everything we do. From assisting with daily routines to encouraging hobbies and personal goals, you'll bring patience, compassion, and a readiness to meet challenges head-on. As a Support Worker, you'll grow alongside the people you support and be part of a team that celebrates every step forward, no matter how small. You'll have the opportunity to help our tenants: o Promote their rights and express themselves o Manage emotional and communication needs o Develop daily-life skills, including budgeting, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and laundry o Engage with the wider community through appointments and social activities o Enjoy life through fun, laughter, and shared experiences Whether you're helping a tenant shop for groceries or prepare a meal, you'll also develop valuable skills, from attention to detail to interpersonal communication. o Kindness and patience o Open-mindedness and a willingness to learn o Resilience and energy to problem-solve o A keen sense of fun! o Care Certificate (not essential). o Past experience of assisting people with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviour (preferable) o Full UK Driving Licence (preferred but not essential). We seek staff with positive attitudes, flexibility and good written and verbal communication.

  • Inclusive of 1 sleep-in a week rate at £67.50 per night, The role of Support Worker is full time at 37.5 hours per week with shifts. You will be required to work a mix of early and late shifts, some weekends and some bank holidays. Some sleep-ins are also required at a rate of £67.50 per night.
