Pinecroft is our specialised residential home where we support autistic adults who has a variety of mental health needs. We support them to develop skills to promote their health and wellbeing, inclusion in the local community and greater independence. We are looking for staff with a "can do" approach who can offer active support to facilitate and enable the people we support to progress and move on. About the Role We are looking for caring and reliable Support Workers. Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines. What You'll Do

  • Support life skills & independence (budgeting, shopping, meal preparation, room cleaning, train and bus journeys)
  • Support accessing chosen activities (gym, hiking, volunteering, pool, darts)
  • Record detailed and accurate digital support notes

    For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people
  • Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential
  • Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome, To protect our autistic adults at the National Autistic Society, all staff are required to have a criminal background check. Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.

    This advert is for a full-time position at 36.75 Hours per week.
  • Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families and will include evening and weekend working. Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is essential What we can offer you
