Full Job Description

You'll be supporting a 58-year-old gentleman with a learning disability and epilepsy (buccal medication required). He is a relaxed and happy individual who enjoys music (especially acoustic guitar), playing connect 4, and getting out for drives. Due to changing health needs, he requires 1:1 and occasional 2:1 support, including manual handling and safe transfers, personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration. You'll also support him to stay connected with his family, who visit regularly. Shifts include a mix of early, late, and long days (e.g., 07:30-15:00, 14:30-20:30), with alternating weekends required.

You'll be:

  • Patient, calm, and respectful of routines
  • Comfortable with manual handling and personal care
  • Self-motivated, with a thoughtful and adaptable approach
  • A full UK manual driver (essential)
  • Confident supporting health needs, including epilepsy (training provided)
  • Experience is desirable, but your values and attitude are what matter most.
