Full Job Description
You'll be supporting a sociable gentleman who enjoys being at the centre of things and thrives around people who are responsive, engaging and positive. He lives with: Learning disabilities, Dystonia, Dysphagia He has a big personality and loves: Football Snooker Singing, dancing and performing Music - especially Take That and Rod Stewart Spending time with friends and being social He enjoys interaction and conversation, and it's important that support is responsive and engaging - he doesn't like feeling ignored or waiting too long for a response. You'll support him to live life his way, with dignity, independence and confidence. Your role will include: Providing full personal care, including bathing and support with continence needs Supporting with medication and specialist dietary needs (due to dysphagia) Supporting with shopping, daily routines and household tasks Supporting attendance at appointments and social activities Encouraging participation in hobbies and community life Providing consistent, engaging support that builds trust and confidence
A good knowledge of the local area and bus routes is essential, as you'll help him access the community regularly.
