  • Building respectful, therapeutic relationships that promote trust, dignity and emotional safety
  • Working in partnership with service users, using co-production to support personalised recovery goals
  • Supporting individuals to have choice, control and involvement in their care and daily routines
  • Delivering care that is least restrictive, recovery-focused and proportionate, in line with positive risk-taking principles
  • Recognising early indicators of deterioration and responding promptly to maintain safety and wellbeing
  • Supporting the development of coping strategies, resilience and self-management skills
  • Promoting independence through support with daily living skills, preparing individuals for community living
  • Encouraging engagement in meaningful, purposeful activities that support social inclusion and hope
  • Working collaboratively with nurses, occupational therapists, assistant psychologists and project workers to provide consistent, joined-up care
  • Delivering care in line with individual care, risk and recovery plans, the Mental Health Act, and relevant legislation
  • Contributing to a safe, inclusive and well-led environment, where safeguarding, learning and continuous improvement are prioritised, This role involves working 37 hours per week on a shift rota that includes early, late and night shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

    We are looking for a committed and compassionate Support Worker who shares Turning Point's recovery values and CQC-aligned approach to care. Experience or a qualification in health and social care is desirable. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, empathy and professionalism, with an understanding of supporting people with mental health needs in a hospital setting.
