Support Worker

The individual is male and resides in Bridlington. They require a dedicated and suitable person to support them for 8 hours per week. Support needs include; Bipolar, Cancer, poor mental health. The role is to promote gentleman's independence and impact positively on his wellbeing and lifestyle. Social hours are embedded within his package weekly to prevent social isolation which is detrimental to his health and mental health. 8 Hours per week is required of which, 3 hours per week for appointments and advocacy in appointments. 5 hours per week is to provide support with accessing the community and promoting a social lifestyle to help maintain his mental health. Gentleman requires support with frequent outings in the community this is to prevent mental health decline, promote confidence and independence and improve physical presentation.

• Be motivated, proactive and able to work on their own initiative.
• Be patient, caring and understanding.
• Have good communication skills (clear and effective communication).
• Be able to build a positive relationship with the individual to both encourage and support them.
• Be flexible to accommodate the hours of work where necessary.
• Car driver with own vehicle is essential.
• Someone who is computer literate
