Our services include registered care homes; supported living; community outreach; day services, including pathways to employment; children and young people's groups and support; specialist support; and free online support for families and carers across the South-East. About the Service: Wentworth Close is a single storey, bungalow property situated in Bexhill-On-Sea within walking distance of local shops, amenities and Bexhill seafront. The home supports four individuals and is a short distance Battle and Hastings and well placed to enable them to take advantage of the variety of local beaches, towns and villages of rural East Sussex. The environment at Wentworth is tailored to the needs of the individuals who live there and is autism specific and also specific to mobility needs. Our overall approach is structured around autism specific communication systems and all our residents are encouraged to actively participate in the community activities and attend the day resource centre if they wish. A person-centred approach is paramount to provide an individualised programme of activity and variety of choice, such as bowling, swimming, computer skills, catering, cycling, living skills, drama and creative arts is available. This is supported by the same communication systems mentioned earlier to ensure consistency. Similar activities are carried out at home and everyone is encouraged to carry out independent living skills. These are incorporated in their daily schedules. Additional activities include aromatherapy and massage, personal music sessions and visits by other caring professionals such as chiropodists. Weekend activities include trips to the local beaches, parks, places of historical interest, pub lunches and identified interests. All the residents living at Wentworth have active involvement and are encouraged to have as much involvement as possible toward the input in the day to day running, choices and plans for the future where possible, alongside regular input from their families and parents who visit or contact regularly., As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the people we support with their daily lives, promoting independence, wellbeing and inclusion within the community. Working closely with people we support a key part of your role. Within our PBS services we need to ensure that there is a high level on understanding of each individual's needs. Allowing us to ensure they are living the most independent and active life possible. Some of the people we support have specific guidelines in place that need to be followed, this allows them to understand their day and develop independent living skills, with limited distress to the individual.

• Support Worker - Supported Living and Outreach
Our Supported Living Services support adults of all ages with autism spectrum conditions and other learning disabilities or related complex support needs. As a Support Worker in our Supported Living Homes, you will work as part of a strong and dedicated team, playing a big role in the support we give those that live there throughout their day to day lives.

Essential Requirements

Linnets is a registered care service providing accommodation for individuals with high dependency needs and severe to moderate learning disabilities. Linnets is a bungalow with eight wheelchair accessible bedrooms all with en-suite facilities. There are also two extra bathrooms, one of which has a Jacuzzi style parker bath. Situated at the top of the main site, it has countryside views and two spacious gardens, a large communal lounge and dining areas, and a well-equipped kitchen.
