Full Job Description

You will support vulnerable adults with a range of complex needs, helping them move towards greater independence and achieve their personal goals. Working to individual care plans and risk assessments, you will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs. This may include:

  • Supporting with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Helping individuals develop life skills and confidence
  • Supporting access to community activities, appointments and opportunities
  • Encouraging choice, independence and informed decision-making
  • Supporting individuals to maintain their tenancy and home environment
  • Completing accurate daily records, incident reports and support documentation
  • Working closely with social workers, professionals, families and wider support networks
  • Supporting transitions, including new admissions and moves between services
  • Responding calmly and appropriately to incidents, risks and emergencies
  • You'll help create a safe, positive home environment where peoplefeelvalued, empowered and able to thrive. Working pattern: This service operates 24/7.You will work any 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and bank holidays where required. Flexibility is important, as the needs of the people we support can vary day to day.

    We welcome applications from both experienced Support Workers and people who are new to care but have the right values, attitude and willingness to learn.,
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults or people with complex needs, or transferable experience from roles involving people support, customer service, healthcare, education, hospitality or community work
  • A caring, calm and person-centred approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence working in fast-paced or unpredictable environments
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
  • Good record keeping and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • Flexibility to work across shifts
  • A genuine passion for helping people live more independent lives
  • A Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care is desirable, but not essential. Full paid training, ongoing support, and access to recognised qualifications are provided, making this an excellent opportunity whether you are building on existing experience or starting a rewarding new career in care.
