Overview of role: We are seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to join John's team. This is a lone working role overnight, with his wife on emergency call. You will create a calm, safe environment to maximise sleep while monitoring his needs. Duties include continence care, assistance with bathroom mobility, comfort, and regular observations (blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturation). You will administer prescribed medication, including PRN, in consultation if required. You will work alongside a day support worker between 8.00 pm and 8.30 pm and 7.30 am-9.00 am, supporting physiotherapy stretches and hygiene routines. A staff room is available with facilities. Who this role would suit: A

  • female waking night carer who is confident, calm, reliable, respectful and empathetic, able to work independently while following care plans. Experience with brain injury is desirable, or a willingness to learn. A driver with their own vehicle is essential due to the location.

Up to £20.00 gross per hour., Salary/Wage: M-F £17.00 (£19.00 after probation period), Weekends £18.00 (£20.00 after probation period), gross per hour, Start Date: ASAP
  • Days & Hours: This role involves two x night shifts per week, each from 8.00 pm to 9.00 am (13 hours per shift, 26 hours per week), worked on a two-week rota. In Week 1, two nights will be worked from Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday; in Week 2, two nights will be worked from Monday, Friday, and Saturday, to be mutually agreed.
