Full Job Description
We are looking for difference makers in our Independent Living Services in Newport and surrounding areas. As Support Worker you will be working as part of our community Independent Living Services, supporting individuals in their own homes and in the community. This is a 30 hour, permanent position.

- A FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE AND ACCESS TO A CAR IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE Who are Codi Group?, As Support Worker you will be working with incredible individuals to support with day to day tasks, developing independence, enhance their various skills and support them with daily activities as well as providing emotional support developing social skills and community activities, general and domestic skills, independence and quality of life . The individuals we support have different personalities with different likes and hobbies. You could be joining the people we support in going on long walks in the countryside, dancing to music, watching films, and going out and about in the community or to visit loved ones. By being part of this team, you would play an influential role in enabling the people we support to lead fulfilling and independent lives and see first-hand how you make a difference to them. You will be expected to support with daily aspects of living, including: Medication administration Cooking skills and other household skills Accessing the community and supporting to local groups Supporting with individuals' hobbies and activities Being a team player and having good communication skills Completing relevant paperwork to a high standard Supporting individuals to budget finances Providing companionship to the people we support through talking about their interests and wellbeing Having fun by encouraging the supported individuals to take part in activities that enhance their life skills and promote independence Take the people we support out and about therefore a full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role Encouraging and supporting with cleaning and administrative duties Being able to bring fresh ideas to the team and implement different ways of working Supporting Individuals with their individual needs
A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided. More important are
