Job Description

Experienced Support Worker (Female ) Required in Purley

Part Time & Bank Hours Available

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic family support workers to join an established care team on a part time or casual worker basis, to help care for our 14-year-old daughter, who has cerebral palsy, complex needs and is wheelchair dependent. You will be joining an excellent team of family support workers, led by a team coordinator, providing care and support to our daughter at home in respect of all of her personal care, nutritional, medical and leisure needs, on a 24-hour basis.

You need:

  • A full UK driving licence and a willingness to drive our daughter s wheelchair adapted vehicle
  • Experience of working with children with physical and learning disabilities
  • An ability to deliver high standards of support to maximise our daughter s participation and enjoyment of life
  • To follow care plans and risk assessments and work sensitively in partnership with us as parents
  • A caring, respectful, professional approach with a willingness to uphold our daughter s dignity and share her sense of fun

Working Hours

The positions available are for part time hours covering the following shifts, as well as casual worker agreements working as required:

  • Every Monday night - 9:30pm to 9:30am
  • Every Wednesday night - 9:30pm to 9:30am
  • One Sunday per month - 9:30am to 9:30pm

Please note, there will also be regular opportunities for additional hours, particularly during school holidays.

Rates of pay

  • Weekday shifts @ £15.75 per hour
  • Weekend shifts @ £17.85 per hour
  • Public Holidays @ £25.20 per hour

Two excellent references and an enhanced DBS check will be pursued
