Full Job Description

You'll be supporting a young man with complex learning disabilities and epilepsy (Buccal medication required). He does not communicate with words, but he's expressive, smiley, and enjoys engaging with people who bring warmth and positivity. His Interests Include:

  • Church on Sundays
  • Coffee mornings on Fridays
  • He leads a busy and fulfilling life, and your support will help him continue to enjoy the things he loves. What Will You Be Doing? This is a 1:1 lone-working role, so confidence and competence are key. You'll be:
  • Providing personal care and using hoists
  • Supporting a wheelchair user with mobility and comfort
  • Preparing meals and administering medication (including Buccal)
  • Ensuring safety and wellbeing throughout the day and night
  • Building a strong, trusting relationship with him and his family
  • Supporting his routines and helping him engage in his favourite activities, Immediate Reviews: Applications are reviewed upon receipt and interviews will continue until positions are filled.
