Full Job Description

The Role: A varied 1:1 role supporting Claire at home and in the community. You will assist with daily care, therapy routines, and activities, helping her lead an active life. Key duties include: Personal care, transfers, and daily routines. Supporting feeding and nutrition. Facilitating outings, college, and activities. Driving her WAV. Maintaining a tidy environment. The role follows a 37-hour rota over 5 days, including some weekends. The home is fully adapted. This Job Would Suit: A positive, proactive

    Support Worker/Buddy - Tal-Y-Bont, LL43 (Wales). A fantastic full-time opportunity to support Claire, a lively and sociable 27-year-old with cerebral palsy who enjoys shopping, swimming, animals, and family life. Earn up to £18.00 gross per hour. Nearest Town: Tal-Y-Bont, Wales Salary/Wage: £15.50 weekdays / £16.00 weekends, rising to £17.00 weekdays / £18.00 weekends upon completion of training Driving Requirements: Confident driver required; automatic WAV provided. Must be comfortable with rural and longer journeys Essential: Experience or strong interest in supporting adults with physical disabilities; comfortable with personal care; animal-friendly.

She enjoys shopping, Disney films, jigsaws, pony riding, and swimming. She uses an Eye-Gaze device alongside gestures and vocalisation to communicate. Claire requires support with personal care, feeding, transfers (hoists), and positioning. She eats orally with assistance and follows therapy programmes including OT, Speech and Language Therapy, and Physiotherapy.
