Full Job Description
United Response are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join one of our busy supported living services based in Shepway Community. You will have the opportunity to support adults with a variety of physical and mental health conditions as well as learning difficulties but all of whom enjoy being as active as possible. As a Support Worker you will be responsible for:
- Helping with daily chores such as cleaning and cooking
- Administering medication
- Accompanying individuals to appointments
- Taking individuals out for leisure activities
- Supporting the people we support on holidays
- Personal care
- Promoting independence where possible
- Some outreach work
- As part of your role, you will be using a digital app called Nourish, where all care and support plans of the people we support are held. Experience of using a digital or mobile app would be desirable however full training will be given Along with being passionate about supporting people with disabilities and share our values of being united, responsive, creative, honest and strong. You should be a patient and resilient individual who is willing to invest time in getting to know the people we support and understand what care best supports their needs., Please note as a Support Worker you will be required to work days/evenings/weekends/Bank Holidays therefore a flexible approach is needed.
