Full Job Description

As a Support at Home Coordinator for East Lancashire, you'll be at the heart of our service, bringing together people, schedules, and support to ensure everything runs smoothly. You will:

  • Coordinate and manage staff rotas to ensure reliable, efficient service delivery
  • Match Support at Home Workers to service users based on needs, preferences, and location
  • Act as the main point of contact for staff, service users, and families
  • Support, motivate, and guide a team of Support at Home Workers
  • Monitor service quality and ensure high standards are maintained
  • Respond to changes, escalations, or concerns in a timely and compassionate way
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to support service user wellbeing
  • Manage continuous development of the service in your area and maintain service standards ensuring quality and long-term sustainability
  • Working in a varied and fast paced environment, you will use your robust decision- making skills whilst maintaining strong understanding and empathy for the issues affecting older people.

  • Experienced in coordinating or managing staff or services
  • Understanding of the needs of older or vulnerable people
  • Highly organised with excellent coordination and planning skills
  • A confident communicator who builds positive relationships easily
  • Compassionate, with a genuine passion for supporting older people
  • Able to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing demands
  • Experienced in a care, support, or community services environment (desirable)
  • Comfortable using IT systems for scheduling and record-keeping
