Supply Planner

You will be responsible for planning print production for over 1000 new books each year as well as the management of backlist and paperback re-releases. You will be required to:

• Find supply solutions to deliver high-quality product on time with reference to budgetary and sustainability targets.
• Work closely with teams across the Academic department to ensure the best experience for our customers.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure performance is maintained.
• Contribute to the continuing development of the team, growing your knowledge base and driving efficiency.
This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.

We are looking for two experienced production supply planning specialists to join a high impact team taking decisions that impact the entire Academic catalogue of Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Through careful planning and proactive attention to detail, you will balance a broad range of projects to drive the success of Cambridge's vision and strategic goals., The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of print manufacture and a strong background in project planning. As part of a small team working across a broad portfolio, you will need confidence working independently while being open to supporting colleagues. You will also:
• Have demonstrable experience working with SAP or another ERP system to raise purchase orders and configure data.
• Be confident using large data sets to identify problems and provide solutions.
• Demonstrate an assured, collaborative communication style and be prepared to bring competing perspectives together to find compromise.
