Job OverviewThe Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the supply chain function, ensuring the efficient procurement, delivery, and performance of suppliers and subcontractors. The role focuses on achieving best value, maintaining compliance, improving supplier performance, managing risk, and supporting business objectives through effective supply chain management.

Main Duties

-Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Management

-Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned to business objectives.

-Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, service, cost, and compliance requirements are met.

-Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.

-Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, service reviews, and performance scorecards.

-Lead supplier selection, onboarding, and contract management processes.

Procurement & Commercial Management

-Support procurement activities, including tendering, supplier negotiations, and contract renewals.

-Deliver cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality.

-Manage supplier pricing structures and ensure value for money.

-Ensure contractual obligations and service level agreements are achieved.

Compliance & Risk Management

-Ensure suppliers meet all statutory, regulatory, insurance, health and safety, and company compliance requirements.

-Conduct supplier audits and due diligence assessments.

-Maintain approved supplier databases and compliance records.

-Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and business continuity concerns.

Stakeholder Management

-Work closely with Operations, Finance, Facilities Management, Engineering, and Commercial teams.

-Provide supply chain advice and support across the business.

-Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.

-Support contract mobilisations and change management activities.

Performance & Reporting

-Produce regular reports on supplier performance, cost savings, compliance, and risk.

-Analyse spend data and identify opportunities for consolidation or improvement.

-Deliver performance presentations to senior management.

-Monitor market trends and emerging supplier opportunities.

-Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

-Supplier compliance performance.

-Cost savings and value generation.

-Supplier service delivery and SLA achievement.

-Supplier audit completion rates.

-Contract renewal and supplier onboarding times.

-Risk reduction and business continuity improvements.

Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related discipline.

-CIPS qualification (Level 4 or above desirable).

Knowledge & Experience

-Proven experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Vendor Management.

-Experience managing supplier contracts and commercial negotiations.

-Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and supplier governance.

-Experience within Facilities Management, Construction, Engineering, or Property Services environments desirable.

-Experience delivering cost reduction and value improvement initiatives.

Skills & Competencies

-Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

-Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.

-Analytical and problem-solving mindset.

-Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

-Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power BI.

-Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding.
