Full Job Description

As a member of the Functional Excellence team, you will play a key role in monitoring defined external risk indicators (eg geopolitical, regulatory, supplier financial health) and assess potential impacts on the supply chain. This will help to contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management tools and training materials. You will achieve this through collaborating with both Sector & Group stakeholders to share best practice and lessons learnt. Through doing so, you will deliver training and provide ongoing support to Supply Chain teams on the effective use of approved risk tools and processes Core duties:

  • You will support the coordination of responses to risk indicators or intelligence, ensuring actions and owners are clearly captured
  • You will maintain and manage the Maritime and Land Defence Solutions Risk Register
  • You will prepare and present on key risk topics such as Single and Sole Source
  • You will ensure consistency, accuracy, and governance of risk data across systems and reporting outputs
  • You will support alignment between Project, Functional and Business Risk
  • Essential Skills:
  • You will have a Supply Chain background and either hold or be willing to work towards CIPS Level 4
  • You will bring an understanding of the Supply Chain End to End process, including key areas such as supplier management, procurement delivery, supplier development & risk management, to this role
  • You will be able to identify root causes and inform robust business decisions
  • You will be able to demonstrate your ability in Supply Chain and or/Projects environments, by being able to build, grow and influence networks, outside of own team, to support collaboratively working
  • The Functional Excellence team: The Functional Excellence team enables the Maritime and Land Defence Solutions supply chain 300+ employees to do their jobs. Encompassing Governance, Compliance, Risk Management, People Capability, Tools/IT & Sustainability.
