Supplier Quality Engineer

As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) supporting our SGT business, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout our supply chain. Your day will involve leading product qualifications and managing fixed process changes while addressing and containing non-conformances. You will analyse data to drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster strong relationships with our valued suppliers. Working in a global, multi-cultural environment, you will leverage your networking skills to enhance supplier performance and quality assurance.How You'll Make an Impact

• Lead teams in performing Product and Process Qualifications (PPQ), ensuring suppliers adhere to Siemens Energy Quality Management Processes and tools.
• Engage with suppliers to resolve process-related issues, including managing non-conformance and implementing containment strategies.
• Oversee supplier quality performance, initiating corrective and preventive actions, and driving quality improvement programmes and risk mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to assess and audit supplier capabilities, ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy standards.
• Continuously monitor and report on supplier quality performance, contributing to key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicating potential risks.
  
  A solid background in Engineering, R&D, or manufacturing, with demonstrable experience in leading product qualifications (PPAP, APQP or similar) and managing unexpected supplier quality issues.
• Proficiency in quality methods such as 5 Whys, FMEA, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), with a focus on product functionality and risk management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present effectively across all levels of the business and work within a global environment.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and Supplier Quality Management (SQM) practices.
• A commitment to collaboration and structured work habits, with a willingness to travel as required.
