Supplier Manager, CIB (12-month secondment)

Our Corporate Institutional Bank (CIB) is on a growth strategy, we're deepening our relationships with Clients, developing new propositions and in doing so we're Helping Britain Prosper by supporting some of the largest Businesses across the UK. Our Supplier Management team in the CIB Chief Operating Office plays a critical role in the execution of our strategy. We're responsible for the strategic management, facilitation and enablement of third-party suppliers. It is important our suppliers meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and responsibility. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the CIB Supplier Management team, to manage contracts for a portfolio of suppliers. This role works closely with the business and third-party suppliers, to deliver sourcing strategies which get the best outcomes for customers as well as driving effective spend management and optimising commercial and risk outcomes. In this role, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end supplier management process across a portfolio of CIB suppliers, including sourcing, onboarding, ongoing management and contract renewal. Working closely with third-party suppliers and colleagues across CIB who utilise those services, you'll help ensure supplier relationships align with agreed frameworks and business risk tolerance. You'll also play a key role in managing supplier-related risk events, while driving effective spend management, strong commercial outcomes and the best results for customers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supplier management of a portfolio of suppliers in line with business risk appetite
• Leading sourcing and procurement activities to generate the best outcome for the client and/or customer
• Support the business users to onboard new third-party suppliers maintaining compliance with established Group policies
• Driving value from your suppliers, identifying opportunities for innovation
• Leading meetings between our suppliers and the business users of the service; fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment to drive positive outcomes for the client and/or customer
• Leading your own development

  Supplier Management - Practical experience of creating or applying supply chain management procedures
• Stakeholder Engagement - Experience building effective relationships and influencing stakeholders at different levels, including supplier owners (Accountable Persons)
• Data Analysis - Be able to analyse data from multiple sources to identify process improvements or impacts to the business
• Contract Management - Experience of leading sourcing and procurement activities and commercial negotiations
• Knowledge / experience of commercial banking would be an advantage but not essential
