Supervisor 20 Hours

When you join us as a Supervisor at The Entertainer, Huddersfield in the Kingsgate Shopping Centre you will be a role model for our Sales Assistants and will support the management team in a busy store with key holder responsibilities. You will support your management team in the daily running of the store, and show your managers what you're all about when running the store independently to cover days off and holidays.

Every day is different, and we'll be honest, you will be on your feet for most of the time! Whether that be receiving deliveries, merchandising the latest best sellers, providing excellent customer service or using your newly found toy expertise to recommend the perfect product - this job is demanding!

As a 20 hour Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

- Opening and closing the store, running the store successfully in the absence of the Store management including Sundays on a rota basis

- Organising and supervising of daily tasks

- Demonstrating an exceptional customer service experience, inspiring your team to do the same

- Maintaining stock areas, controlling faulty goods and handling deliveries

- Working in your designated Tesco space as and when required

Have a flexible approach to working hours and a commitment to help us resource the store effectively

- Be enthusiastic about your retail career having had valuable supervisory experience or gained extra responsibilities in a Sales Assistant role within a fast-paced retail environment.

- Be tech savvy, showing confidence in using computers and tablets to complete tasks and increase productivity

- Have the ability to identify sales opportunities and implement new ideas, showcasing your creative and commercial flair

On a 20-hour contract, you will be working 4-hour shifts over 5 days. Having a flexible approach and a commitment to help the store operate, it is key that you are able to work these shift patterns, as well as being available to take on overtime when it is required. This might include working hours at any time of the day, perhaps even outside of our normal trading hours opening and closing the store at times, especially at Christmas and in the school holidays.
