Permanent following successful completion of 6 month probation

Work based from Swindon office but will involve stay-away projects across the UK

We are a well-established small company, trading for over 30 years. Due to a successful year and a strong ongoing program of fieldwork, we are looking for motivated, dedicated individuals to join our team. Work based from Swindon office, but will involve stay-away projects across the UK, for which accommodation; subsistence & mileage (where applicable) will be paid.

Foundations is a CIfA RO

Benefits include:

Skills required :

  • Proven track record in supervising commercial fieldwork projects
  • Previous experience in client & supervising bodies' liaison
  • Experience in writing grey literature reports preferable
  • Experience in DBAs desirable
  • Full clean UK manual driving licence essential
  • CIfA Membership desirable
  • ACIfA/ equivalent preferred

Personal Skills :

  • Candidates should be enthusiastic, ethical, hard-working & flexible.
  • Have proven experience in relevant roles within commercial archaeology (ideally minimum 1 year at supervisor level).
  • Able to work effectively as a team player & independently and with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Efficient organisational skills to supervise fieldwork and able to work effectively to short timescales.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without restrictions. Proof of eligibility will be required prior to offer of employment.
