Young People and Families Our provides early intervention, targeted and specialist support services to those in crisis, leaving care, missing from home or with substance misuse or mental health problems. Our services support people no matter what their situation - and have demonstrated a high success rate., This role will be a permanent post Covering East Surrey ; the post holder will be working in partnership with Surrey Healthy Schools. This role has been created to provide a dedicated resource to promote healthy behaviours and support schools in responding to substance Use concerns/incidents that occur within the student population. Catch22 will Co-ordinate/oversee the partnership working. You will contribute to the Health, Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Services for Surrey Schools, which is a wide range of support and services for children and young people in Surrey to help maintain their wellbeing and address their physical, emotional and mental health needs. You will also contribute as required to the development of polices and guidelines relating to health and substance use including PSHE. You will proactively and, where appropriate, reactively respond to incidents involving substance use and staff training taking a strengths based and trauma informed approach in order to support inclusion and attendance. The post holder will complement existing services working to support a Surrey Healthy Schools approach, offering an initial triage service and assessment for young people referred up to the age of 18 years, either through direct contact with children and young people, or with professionals, parents, and carers. We are looking for applicants with the following qualifications, skills, abilities, and experience:
- NVQ3 Health & Social Care, or equivalent / appropriate qualification; including relevant professional qualifications (e.g., substance use, youth work studies, counselling qualification, criminal justice, SENCO).
- Specialist knowledge of alcohol/substance use, and the associated risks and effects.
- An ability to engage with, and build effective working relationships with, a range of different partners and stakeholders.
- Experience in delivering service presentations and training to professionals and partners. We are also interested in candidates who can demonstrate transferable experience in the following areas:

Salary: Up to £29,192.34, depending on experience (pro rata, based on full time equivalent of £32,000) Hours of Work: Full time, 37 hours per week. Term time only - 41 weeks per year Contract: Full time Flexibility: Opportunities for flexible working available (main office is in Leatherhead) This role requires an up to date driving licence, access to a vehicle, MOT and business insurance. You may be required to work out of hours, including evenings and weekends where necessary, in addition to travel around Surrey on a daily basis, and occasional travel around the UK.
