You can read about them on our Why work for us pages., This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in improving outcomes for people affected by drug and alcohol harms in Brighton & Hove, at an important time. This is a permanent role given the importance of substance misuse and addiction in the city. This is a senior, strategic, commissioning and public health role at a crucial time, weaving in wider determinants of health, diversity, and trauma informed, preventative approaches. As Programme Manager for Substance Misuse, you will take on a senior strategic and commissioning leadership role within the Public Health team. You will help drive transformation across prevention, treatment, recovery, harm reduction and partnership working, ensuring that our services remain high-quality, inclusive and responsive to the needs of our residents. If you are passionate about improving outcomes for people affected by drug and alcohol harm; you thrive in diverse, dynamic and complex areas; and you bring experience in commissioning and strategic leadership, we would love to hear from you. Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only. Please note that this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check. We are a workplace that supports flexibility and employee wellbeing in the way we work whilst providing the best service for our customers. Team and service working arrangements are designed to support both employee work life balance and team collaboration. These would be part of your individual working arrangements alongside any personal preference agreed with your manager in advance of joining. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
