We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Healthcare Assistant to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Winchester, a category B prison located in Winchester. HMP Winchester is a busy male prison with a capacity for 690 inmates. We are recruiting for a Substance Misuse Healthcare Assistant to support the wider team with tasks such as observations, second sig to support pharmacy, helping out with recovery and supporting with the wider ISMS Team. Hours 37.5 hours per week Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 0800 - 1600, As a Substance Misuse Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
- Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery. NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care - Experience or knowledge of Substance Misuse.
