Subsidence Specialist

accurate technical assessments and diagnoses (subsidence, heave, landslip or alternative causes)Instruct and interpret site investigations including:Drainage surveys (CCTV)Level monitoringSatellite monitoringDistortion surveysProduce concise technical reports and recommendations aligned with policy coverageDevelop and manage repair specifications, including substructure and superstructure worksOversee claims from initial notification through to project completionCollaborate with contractors, surveyors, policyholders, and internal stakeholdersManage variation orders and ensure adherence to policy termsEnsure all outputs meet agreed service level agreements (SLAs)Contribute to continuous improvement of subsidence processes, systems, and trainingSupport and mentor colleagues, leading by example in technical excellence and service deliveryMaintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teamsAbout You You will be a confident decision-maker with, strong technical

expertise in subsidence and domestic construction, Essential:Recognised qualification in engineering or surveyingChartered status (e.g. MIStructE, MICE, RICS, MCIOB, MCABE or equivalent)Extensive experience in subsidence claims within the insurance sectorStrong understanding of:Foundation movement (subsidence, heave, landslip)Domestic building repair techniquesExcellent report-writing and analytical skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesProven ability to manage workloads and prioritise effectivelyFull UK driving licenceDesirable:CII qualification (Cert CII or above)Previous experience in a senior or referral-level technical roleKey Skills & CompetenciesCustomer-focused with excellent service delivery skillsStrong negotiation and problem-solving capabilitiesEffective complaint handling and resolution skillsHigh attention to detail and technical accuracyAbility to work independently and manage a varied caseloadProficiency in Microsoft Office and case management
