Full Job Description
Are you looking to join an inclusive, collaborative company that is recognised as one of the UK's most successful infrastructure delivery organisations? We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Sub Agent to join our team on the Wixams Station project, delivered through the Eastern Routes Partnership for Network Rail.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to further develop their skills and take on increased responsibility across a highprofile, multidisciplinary scheme. Wixams Station is a new-build station on the Thameslink/Midland Main Line near Bedford, progressing under the Network Rail PACE framework and moving into the ES3 Option Selection stage. Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is engaged as the civils and station contractor, with responsibility for leading the development of the design.
Role Responsibilities
+ Support the scheme through early design stages, ensuring the project is fully prepared for successful mobilisation.
+ Participate in design reviews to assess constructability and alignment with the proposed construction methodology.
+ Assist in the procurement and onboarding of key supply chain partners, ensuring safety, programme, cost, quality, and deliverable requirements are met.
+ Work closely with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager to develop and implement the mobilisation strategy, including consents, utilities management, and traffic management arrangements.
+ Coordinate effectively with Network Rail and SRSA to ensure programme alignment and seamless project integration.
+ Contribute to the recruitment, development, and support of the operational delivery team to ensure successful project execution.
+ Proven experience delivering large, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects (rail station experience desirable).
+ Knowledge of temporary works, working adjacent to the operational railway, and station architectural/fitout construction.
+ Strong background in leading and managing teams, including engineers, frontline supervisors, and supply chain partners, within complex project environments.
+ Demonstrated ability to ensure deliverables are achieved safely, efficiently, and in line with programme expectations.
Millions of people rely on Britain's rail network to take them safely and efficiently across the country every day. Morgan Sindall helps this happen by providing renewed and enhanced rail infrastructure with the minimum of passenger disruption.
Our customers receive a multi-disciplined service covering electrification, power supply, tunnelling and a full range of civil engineering and building capabilities including structures, lineside infrastructure, and station enhancements. This is complemented by track and signalling works from our supply chain partners to provide a complete rail offering.
Our expertise is focused not only on effective delivery of projects within a railway environment, but also on minimising disruption for railway users through the adoption of innovative working practices and techniques. These include 'live launch' bridge construction, in which we can install bridges while allowing railways beneath to remain operational.
From landmark station refurbishment projects and platform extensions to tunnelling works and bridge launches, we have a record of delivering rail projects that are helping to provide a rail network fit for the 21st century.
Morgan Sindall is an equal opportunities employer and has been accredited with the Positive About Disabled People 'Two Ticks' accreditation. We are also an Investors in People company.
+ Generous holiday entitlement with the option to buy five days.
+ Flexible and adaptable working
+ Family friendly policies and work/life approach
+ Mentoring programmes and continuous learning support
+ Contributory pension scheme
+ Annual bonus scheme
+ Recognition scheme and long service awards
+ Car scheme and Private Medical Insurance (if applicable to role)
+ We also provide the option to participate in our share-save scheme; discounts including cycle to work and gym membership; a support and advice service for colleagues and their families, and more.
