Full Job Description
Barnet & Southgate College offer an exciting opportunity to join the College as a Study Support Assistant working as part of our team that helps to ensure students are supported thus enhancing their chances of success at college and in life. Proven ability to manage and support a caseload of students with learning support needs. Experience of drawing up an agreed support plan with SMART targets to meet appropriate criteria and remove barriers to learning.
Working knowledge of SEND legislation and how it applies to students in a college environment. Understanding of student engagement strategies, initial assessment processes and the barriers to learning claim.
Minimum qual - i.e. L3 qualification or equivalent is essential together with strong IT skills and GCSEs at grades A-C in English & Maths (or equivalent).
