Full Job Description
The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. Event to be covered: Accessible Dungeons & Dragons: Co-designed Tabletop Storytelling with Adults with Learning Disabilities - Celebration event We are looking for a student videographer to film and edit a short (1-2 minute) video capturing a co-productive public engagement event. The role involves filming the event in a flexible, respectful way, capturing atmosphere, activities, and short participant voice clips, and producing a simple, well-edited final video suitable for web and reporting use. Working closely with the event lead and prioritising participant comfort is essential., Event Time: 2.5 hours total. Event duration: 1pm - 3pm. Please arrive at 12.30pm to ensure time to chat with the event lead about filming requirements and set up. Filming to begin when the event starts at 1pm. Editing time: 4 hours Total: 7 hours There could be further opportunities to work on other events with the Public Engagement with Research Team.Person Specification This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students. The successful applicant will be expected to provide their own equipment. (please delete as appropriate) Essential
- Interest in filming and editing short videos
- Some experience filming events, people, or group activities (this may be through university work, volunteering, or personal projects)
- Comfortable capturing natural footage of people and activities Desirable
- Experience filming talks, workshops, or live events
