About this Role
This will involve working with a range of pupils who need extra support in managing their behaviour, raising their self-esteem and becoming more focused on their future prospects. The role will include contributing to whole school approaches to managing student behaviour, as well as working with individuals to support their holistic development. We need someone who is willing to be both part of a team and be able to work independently, show initiative and someone who can build up a rapport with students, their parent/carers, external professionals and, of course, the staff in the school. This role will attract someone who aspires to making a real difference to the lives of young people.
The appointment is to a permanent post of 37 hours per week, 40 weeks (39 weeks during term time). Please note the role will include an expectation of attendance at some evening events throughout the academic year as stated in the job description. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS checks required for all posts.
We are proud to be part of East Anglian Schools Trust (EAST) alongside Farlingaye High School, Kesgrave High School, Bungay High School, Castle East School, Holbrook Academy, EAST SCITT and six primary schools Aldeburgh, Wickham Market, Easton, Kyson, Leiston and Saxmundham with whom we work closely with.
