Student Support Coordinator

The Student Support Team are expanding, we are looking for resilient, passionate and motivated people to join our team. The positions available will provide care, support and academic assistance for young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential and to help staff develop their skills?

In this varied role, you'll provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom. You'll work closely with tutors and support staff to ensure inclusive learning for students with additional needs, including those with EHCPs. You'll play a key role in supporting student transitions, medication prompts, and personal care where necessary.

The role also includes line management of a team of Student Support Assistants (SSAs), overseeing their development, inductions, and quality of support through learning walks and regular reviews. Administrative responsibilities such as reviewing support logs, organising and completing learning walks and holding appraisals are essential, as is your contribution to CPD, safeguarding, and college open events.
