Full Job Description
We are seeking to recruit a full-time Student Programmes Officer, fixed-term until July 2027. The post will be based in one of the Faculty's academic departments and will lead and manage a team of student-facing professional services staff. The Student Programmes Officer works closely with academic colleagues and engages with colleagues from across the faculties and wider university to support the delivery and administration of student programmes and modules, and the student experience for both undergraduate and postgraduate taught students and postgraduate research students.
You will work within the Faculty of Science & Technology and the Faculty of Health & Medicine's joint Education Service, reporting to the Student Programmes Manager. Whilst a department will be assigned, you will be expected to work within other academic departments of the faculties as required.
You will:
o Be able to demonstrate experience of managing a team of people or supervising colleagues to drive results and ensure effective change and continuous improvement.
o Be a self-motivated team player, with a commitment to professional development, for yourself and your team.
o Have experience of delivering high-quality administrative services in a Higher Education or other relevant environment.
o Be able to take the lead on quality assurance, quality enhancement, timetabling and assessment processes.
o Be able to demonstrate competent IT skills and the ability to work with new systems and software in an evolving digital environment.
o Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond positively to changing priorities, team structures and organisational needs.
