Student Midwife

The 24 Month BSc (Hons) Midwifery Shortened Programme at the London South Bank University aims to produce competent, caring, research and evidence-based midwives, capable of delivering effective woman-centred care for mothers and their families. This full-time programme commences September 2065., Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery course at London South Bank University (24 months).

An active Adult Nursing Registration (NMC Registration)

Bachelor's degree in Adult Nursing with a minimum of 2:2

Proven post registration experience in a Nursing setting in the UK.

GCSE Maths and English or equivalencies or IELTS 7.0

The two-year Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery aims to produce competent, caring, autonomous and evidenced-based midwives, capable of delivering effective personalised quality care for mothers, birthing people and their families in any context.

Midwives of the 21st century practice within dynamic, rapidly changing and diverse contexts and require personal, academic and professional skills to practice in an optimum way.

During the two-year course, time will be spent 50% with London South Bank University Southwark and 50% with Barts Health NHS Trust at the Royal London Hospital
