Full Job Description
The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students. To apply, you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. Job Description Help shape the start-of-year experience at Manchester Met. We're looking for friendly, proactive and reliable students to join the Student Hub team and support new and returning students during one of the busiest times of the academic year. As a Student Hub Assistant, you'll play a key role in delivering a welcoming and helpful experience for our student community. Based at either the Business School or Brooks Student Hub, you'll help answer questions, manage queues and support the day-to-day running of the hubs., You'll support with:
- greeting and directing students in a friendly, approachable way
- managing queues and keeping busy areas flowing efficiently
- speaking with students to resolve common queries
- helping to deliver welcome and induction events
- answering telephone and online enquiries using the information provided

Hours of work: 08:45am - 4:30pm - Hours per week: Flexible around studies
- Role dates: + Brooks Building Hub: 2 assistants per day from Thursday 20 August 2026 + Business School Hub: 4 assistants per day from Tuesday 8 September 2026
- Successful applicants will be required to attend a compulsory online briefing session - time and date to be confirmed. Experience isn't essential as we'll provide the training and information you need in order to complete the role. Please Note - you will recruited into a pool of students who will be eligible to work the necessary shifts. Interviews will take place via Microsoft Teams between 6-11 August 2026.
