Full Job Description
Successful candidates will be expected to engage and utilise learning opportunities in community and in HEI settings. Throughout the training a named supervisor will be responsible for supervision and training whilst in practice, whilst continuing to work with the NMC Code and the local policies and procedures of the supporting Trust for legal and statutory requirements relating to clinical practice.As the course progresses successful candidates will be expected to act independently with supervision and be responsible for a structured caseload when on consolidated practice with the aim to deliver a public health service.By the end of the course the successful candidates will have developed the knowledge base, skills and competencies work of a Community Public Health Practitioner - Health Visitor.They will develop skills and competencies to enable them to have ongoing responsibility for the assessment of children and families with complex or single-care needs.They will
also develop skills and competencies to ensure they can implement and evaluate a programme of care in partnership with other agencies, ensuring the delivery of prescribed high-quality care through effective leadership of the nursing team.During supervised practice they will have delegated responsibility for a selected generic caseload and, under supervision, will provide assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for a designated client population.
