Full Job Description
To become a Student Experience Coach in our Student Support Services department, we need someone who is "organised, motivational and committed. " The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities. We have a variety of students from the surrounding area; we are a welcoming and inclusive community that champions diversity and equality across our college. Our departments collaborate to establish and uphold the inclusive HoW culture, we keep this in mind as we manage interactions with the public, fellow employees, and nearby schools. Although this position is centred on our Redditch and Bromsgrove campuses, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: To find a more detailed list of your day-to-day responsibilities, please refer to the key roles and accountabilities section on our Job Description. In summary, as someone who has knowledge and experience working with 16-18-year-olds, you will support in many aspects. To name a few:
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate enrichment, personal development, and learner engagement activities.
- Organise student events, campaigns, conferences, Freshers' Fair, and charity initiatives.
- Promote student leadership, learner voice, volunteering, and community engagement opportunities.
- Support the development of student confidence, inclusion, wellbeing, active citizenship, and personal growth.
- Build effective partnerships with external organisations, guest speakers, and community stakeholders.
- Monitor participation, analyse impact, manage budgets, and produce reports to improve engagement and outcomes.
- Support safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, careers, and personal development strategies.
- Represent student needs and support college open events, student ambassador programmes, and student governance activities.
