Full Job Description
Duties The Student Communities Coordinator plays a key role in building vibrant and inclusive student communities across the Tooting campus. The role supports societies, student media and fundraising groups, providing guidance on events, budgets, governance and leadership development. Working closely with student leaders, the postholder coordinates engaging activities and major campus events, ensures compliance with health and safety requirements, manages administrative processes, and helps create opportunities that foster belonging, participation and student success while strengthening relationships across the Students' Union and University. The successful candidate will have experience supporting volunteers, coordinating events and providing effective administrative support. They will possess strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently. Knowledge of event-related health and safety
requirements is essential, alongside confidence using Microsoft Office and online systems. They will demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and have the ability to engage and support diverse student communities. Candidates are normally required to work on site 4+ days a week during term time to ensure we deliver an excellent service for students, which will predominantly be in Tooting with normally one day a week on the Clerkenwell site. There is greater flexibility outside of term time. During term time, this position may be required to work flexibly, which could include hours between 9am and 6pm. Additionally, candidates may need to be available for some evening and weekend shifts as needed. Additional information Closing date for applications: 06 Septembe#####26 at 11:59pm.
